You have partly figured out where evolution partly fits in with Christianity. Great! But you haven't yet considered the theological consequences of General Relativity's curved space/time. General Relativity is as proven as evolution. And its very important because it explains how our Father and the Son of Man are both the same Being. Time and space curve. The future is the past. Everything we build in the Future, everything we evolve it the Future, already exists.

Christ is God as the Baby in the Manger. The Father is The fully evolved God who has gone all away around the circle of time. The Holy Spirit ties them together.
God's evolution as stated in the Bible.
John 15:1-2.
I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine-dresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He ]prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
The Anthropic Principles and the Gaea hypothesis are the same. Just as Life manipulates Earth to keep it life bearing, Life manipulates the Universe to keep it life bearing.
Though the fully evolved Father/Body of Christ can do anything and has access to the beginning of the Universe due to curved space/time, He is limited by how much He can change it. If He changed it too much, He would "write Himself out of existence." So death must happen, suffering must happen. Those are our motivations to keep us progressing and growing (evolving) into Him.
The Scientific Reason for REAL Life After Death
Heaven is not just night language. It is a day language, THING, that gets built by us, the Body of Christ. All Carpenters use their bodies to build things.
Heaven Exists because of the Spirit of Truth which is Science.
John 16:12-15 "I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. "All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you."
Sure as the submarine Nautilus, the Moon ship Columbia, and the International Space Station, sure as communication satellites and robots rolling around on Mars and vacuuming carpets on Earth, John's cube will be built, if for no other reason self fulfilling prophesy. Read Revelations chapters 21 and 22. Why would we not build such a beautiful thing when we certainly can? What would stop us? And we want to very much! The split second that Neanderthal, probably a Lady, refused to accept her loved one's death and dragged him to the deepest, most protected area of their cave and covered him in flowers to fight the stench, the building of John's Cube became unavoidable. We started doing something about death instead of accepting it. The Universe has a good ten to 15 billion years to go and Humans burn with desire to live forever. Every Doctor is working towards eternal life. Every Scientist is building Heaven.Our tenacious species used to get meat by running prey to exhaustion. No other animal hunts like that. And we have been hunting eternal life for a very long time. Eventually we shall catch it because we won't quit chasing after it until we do so.
All we are, are carbon based "meat computers" But you can't run a computer without an operating system. A few months back I paid my friend Ed to "ghost" my hard drive's contents over to a bigger, faster, newer hard drive. We'll learn to do that with organic hard drives too.
Over the next ten to 15 billion years Science builds John's cube, goes around curved space/time and uploads everybody including the Carpenter and gives Him His Kingdom because His terrible death drew all men to Him (John 12:31) and made Him worthy to open the book of life, "(Revelation chapter 5). Jesus is Lord because we want Him to be and He wants to be. No other reason is necessary. Collective Humanity could have had anyone in that position we wanted, but who else deserves it as much? Buddha might have had the position but from reading both their words we can tell: The Galilee Carpenter wants a Kingdom and Buddha does not.
It is the goal of science to preserve species and individuals. We succeed. Heaven is for plants and animals too.

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
Because He must be able to preserve every thought we ever thought in order to upload us, God really is omnipresent. He has to be to do what He is supposed to do. So He DOES hear us praying and He does experience us worshipping!
The Heisenberg uncertainty principle may makes His omnipotence necessary also. Someone must observe or electrons don't know rather to be particles or waves.
All those supposedly impossible things the Bible mentions happening, water having its atoms rearranged into wine, rapid stem cell growth of fish flesh and grains. the physical resurrection of the Galilee Carpenter: Don't be so sure those didn't happen! Christ was necessary for Human evolution and civilization, and He had to get our attention. So science from around the circle of time could have very well given Him some help. On Resurrection Sunday those "Angels" will have technology.
You need to have more faith in what science can learn to do. When you have faith enough in what science can learn to do, you will realize the Bible is more literally true than you now think.
We landed on the MOON! We went from enslaving horses to doing that in less than a hundred years of progress. So I know miracles happen. I watched one on TV!
I propose Moses got it right but has been mistranslated and misunderstood!
Day meant "time period" in ancient Hebrew. Proof" second chapter. "In the day (singulor) God created the Heavens and the Earth."
"Morning" meant "beginning." and "evening" meant "ending;" (Same ancient Hebrew word). "Earth" meant "land." Noah's flood, (the Black Sea Flood) covered the entire LAND, not the planet.
On the third day God made the lights in the sky (not the sun, moon and planets) By then Earth's atmosphere had condensed enough for light to reach the surface and/or the sun had condensed enough for fusion to start.
Life before the light hit the surface? Don't be so sure it didn't happen! Google "undersea rose garden." Scientists found a whole ecological system living at the bottom of the sea, too deep down to be using photosynthesis. So it gets it energy from volcanic heat vents. All early Earth-life may have been like that.

Genesis proves evolution. Both the Bible and science admit we are descended from one woman. They only disagree on the time period and even that not as much as commonly believed. Moses gave no timeline. Someone in Victorian times tried to work one out for the Bible. But that's someone interpretation not the Bible itself. But since we are all descended from one woman, where did all the different races come from if there is no genetic drift?"
Are we SURE we aren't the result of Eve being cloned out of Adam from stem cells? After all we are learning to do that! Time circles. We could have/can "monkey" with our Chimp cousins if it turns out to be necessary. Getting the extra chromosome arm out of a male donor would take some doing, but maybe that's where the "enhancements" originally came from. If it was necessary.

All it takes to have lions lay down peacefully with lambs is to raise them together and keep the lions always fed. Vat meat will make that possible. And/or we could genetically modify some of the grass to have a higher protein content, and/or genetically modify the lions to be able to eat the grass and use some kind of birth control on the prey animals.
We can't earn our way to Heaven by living a righteous life. Salvation is by grace. The logic of it, can any one individual person earn the internet just as it is today? Is not most of the internet a gift we (the Body of Christ) give back and forth to ourselves? Then why do you think we can earn what evolves out of it?
God enjoys doing nice things for grateful beings. We don't earn it. Your book emphasized working one's way to the Kingdom of God a bit too much though it did have some good advice on how to do that.

And again, its by His grace, not our works.
Ephesians 4:8-11. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
But we must be born again in order to be able to go there. Your book missed mentioning that and it should have because it is important. Being born again is letting Christ indwell our operating system and debug it. All it takes is one piece of spyware or one virus on ONE computer in any network to infect the whole network. That is why our sins/defects/mental baggage has to be left behind when we go to Heaven, and it takes Christ to take it away from us. We can't debug ourselves any more than my computer can debug itself. He knocks but we have to open and invite Him in. We have free will. It would not be ethical to just invade us and change us without our permission.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, (I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
It is very important that every one open and let Him in! Without doing that one is not really a Christian. You may be right in that they get a chance to go to Heaven. But they are not a Christian.

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test?
Love at first sight salvation clause?
Notice you get to behold first and then believe. That might indicate it doesn't mean believe as in just believing He exists or even that He is God (even the demons believe and tremble). But believing in His goodness, His right to be God, His Kingdom.
John 6:40
"For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."
But remember He did say we had to be born again to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. There more be more than one kind of eternal life and I don't necessarily mean Hell. The afterlife is no doubt as complex and varied as life here, if not more so. But....
....The ancient Hebrews had to use the death penalty for everything even disturbed children because they were living at survivalist levels. They did not have the resources to deal with any "trouble makers." We aren't so poor. We can build jails and prisons and mental hospitals. So can God. Why give someone the death penalty for mere stubbornness? So all do have eternal life but the quality will vary considerably.
If you locked several Nuns in a Holiday Inn and gave them supplies but nothing else, in a year what would you find? Now imagine doing that to a bunch of criminals? Now imagine that going on for a very long time, even for eternity!
God does not make Hell hellish. It was most likely a fine environment when God made it. But Its inhabitants torture each other. That is Hell enough.
The only ones who go there are those who do not want God's interference. It wouldn't even be ethical for Him to bother them.
But folks may get a second chance.
1 Peter 4:6
For the gospel has for this purpose been preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in the flesh as men, they may live in the spirit according to the will of God."
But no one should bet their eternal operating system on getting that second chance. People should "make their peace with Christ" soon as they can!

If you don't think the devil is real, google Satanism. (Be careful). Any one of those sick people would be happy to take their god's ecological niche if it were empty. :(( No valuable, desirable ecological niche stays empty and there are plenty who think being God's opponent is a valuable desirable ecological niche.
Cetaceans don't require a devil to evolve to intelligence. They don't have grasping organs. They can't rape (at least not without gathering help from other males). So a male must sweet talk or sweet sing his lady love into being willing. So intelligence evolves as a sexual characteristic like a peacock's tale. But primates have hands. A male primate can grab a potential mate and force her to get pregnant. The only way we can evolve to intelligence as if we have an adversary to tempt us and weed the stupid ones out of the herd. Sometimes we are our own tempters.
As iron sharpens iron, man sharpens man.
But sometimes our tempter is God's opposition. Just as wolves keeps the caribous strong and even drive them to become stronger and faster by picking off from the herds those who are weak and sick, the devil is driving us towards evolving bigger forebrains by picking off from the herd those who fail to live wisely.
But he is only the Body of Christ's opposition not the fully evolved Father's. When his usefulness is over he will be tossed into a lake of fire. Any star or black hole would do. (Revelation 19:20).
Another reason God allows Satan to exist: "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." The devil is God's devil's advocate. He is a useful political opponent if ever there were one. Too many "yes men." can result in a disaster as many a politician and company executive has found out to their sorrow. It is wise to allow someone to give the alternate viewpoint.
Without opposition it is quite possible to become weak.
